"I have something very important to share. First off, When you don’t think it will happen to you, or you take INSURANCE for granted thinking you just call in a claim on an 800 number, THINK AGAIN. Insurance does matter but who you have in your court matters even MORE! I’m referring to my agent of many years, Jodi from The Johnston Agency - Burns Insurance This past year, We had lots of water damage from a waterline going to our fridge from our ice maker. (I personally would never hook up another waterline to my fridge ever again.) I now make ice the old fashioned way which is fine by me! We did not know it was even leaking until my kitchen floor buckled. This happened all in July of last year. I remember that day it all came crashing down when water was discovered in our crawl space and we knew we had issues with the floor buckeling. I called Jodi and she was KEY in how everything turned out from day one. This was a complicated claim. She worked countless hours with the adjuster helping me getting the claim covered. If I wouldn’t have had Jodi in my court, I can’t even imagine how this would’ve turned out. Her service was impeccable and she worked with my insurance company for months! We ended up needing a new kitchen to address all the water issues. Reevaluate who you have in your corner if something happens to your home or car. Jodi has always found us good rates and has gone the extra mile. I just want to thank her publicly and tell everybody our story. Insurance companies are complex, claims are complex. Stuff happens and everything is status quo until it happens to you!"
